Laudare · Benedicere · Praedicare

To praise, to bless, to preach.

Ordinary lives. A Dominican calling.

We are Catholic men and women at St. Timothy Parish in Mesa who belong to the Order of Preachers while living in the world, with families, jobs, and parishes of our own. Like St. Dominic, we seek the truth, pray with it, and share it.

Four pillars of Dominican life

  1. Prayer

The Mass, the Liturgy of the Hours, and the Rosary shape our days.

  2. Study

We study Scripture, the Church's teaching, and the Dominican tradition so we can know the truth and share it well.

  3. Community

We meet, pray, and grow together as a chapter.

  4. Preaching

We share the Gospel through our words, our work, and how we live.

In the world. Not of it.

Lay Dominicans are full members of the Dominican family, alongside the friars, nuns, and sisters. Our vocation doesn't take us out of daily life. It changes how we live it.
