Our Chapter
Mary, Mother of Truth
A Lay Dominican chapter of the Western Dominican Province, serving the East Valley from Mesa, Arizona.
Who we are
We are Catholic men and women of the East Valley who belong to the Order of Preachers. We're part of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Western Province, one of more than thirty chapters across the western United States, and of the worldwide Dominican family founded by St. Dominic in 1216.
Where we meet
We belong to the Order of Preachers through the Western Province, not to any one parish. We're grateful to St. Timothy Catholic Church in Mesa, whose community has warmly welcomed us and hosts our meetings.
Our name
St. Dominic's Order was given the motto Veritas: Truth. Mary carried Truth Himself into the world. As a chapter, we take her as our model: receive the Word, ponder it, and bring it to others.
